Fiji’s award-winning Sigatoka River Safari has two brand new adventures available thanks to a partnership with Heli Tours Fiji.

Helicopter offloads passengers for the adventure that is – Sigatoka River Safari

The Heli-Jet Boat Combo includes a 15 minute scenic helicopter flight over majestic mountains and into the Sigatoka River Valley before arriving at the Sigatoka River Safari base. The Heli-Jet Scenic Flight and Jet Boat Safari Combo includes a 30 minute scenic flight that takes passengers on an extended journey to the south of Nadi to the beautiful Coral Coast, exploring the coral reefs and famous white sandy Natadola beach, before arriving at the Sigatoka River Safari or Off Road Caves Safari base.

The Heli- Jet Boat Combo is priced at AUD $365 per person and the Heli-Jet Scenic Flight and Jet Boat Safari Combo is priced at $535 per person. Both include a helicopter or scenic flight and the half day Sigatoka River Safari Tour.

Sigatoka River Safari works with 15 different villages and visits a different village every day, to minimise the impact of tourism on the village lifestyle, a key element in their success to date.

Once arriving at the Sigatoka River Safari passengers are taken on a Fijian adventure into the heart and soul of Fiji, aboard custom-built safari jet boats. Passengers travel along the Sigatoka River to visit authentic Fijian villages and experience a day in the life of the real ‘kaiviti’ (Fijian).

To bring the four and half hour adventure to life, a guide is assigned to each group and as the boats head up Fiji’s longest river into the highlands, passengers learn about the amazing history of Fiji, the Sigatoka Valley and the ways in which the river was and still is used today. The tour then reaches a village destination where a warm welcome by the villagers awaits.

Passengers visit the village chief’s bure, take part in a kava ceremony, tour the authentic village and are treated to a traditional Fijian lunch. The village visit ends with traditional Fijian singing and dancing before the group jump back into their jet-boats and enjoy the thrill of 360s on the way back down the river.
